The Missing Men of Smiths Falls, Ontario
About this episode
The episode explores the mysterious cases of missing men in Smiths Falls, Ontario, and the subsequent investigation that uncovered dark secrets.
In the small eastern Ontario town of Smiths Falls, a series of missing men began to fuel widespread rumours, fear, and suspicion about what was happening beneath the surface of the community. For years, families waited for answers while police searched for evidence and residents traded theories about whether the cases were somehow connected. Then, just one month after a large reward was offered for information, the investigation took a dramatic turn. There would be arrests, murder charges, and the discovery of human remains on a remote rural property outside town. But that was only the beginning… As investigators continued searching the land, more bodies would be found, and attention would turn to the disturbing history of the property itself, raising new questions about how far back this story really goes, and how many secrets may still be buried there.
