The first: can (should) AI take the place of teachers and actually interacting with other people as you build your English skills? In this episode I'm reflecting on the idea of cognitive debt—how relying too heavily on AI can lead to a superficial understanding of information. I also tackle cognitive surrender, which happens when you blindly trust AI’s output without questioning it, which can dilute critical thinking skills, and lead to making mistakes. I believe we need to embrace AI as a helpful tool while still valuing the irreplaceable human connection and interaction that teachers and the people around us provide.
