Guest: Angela Coombs Mumuni, M.D., is a board-certified psychiatrist and Associate Medical Director for Alameda County Behavioral Health Department where she works both clinically in East Oakland, CA as well as serves as administrator supporting psychiatric providers, system-wide psychiatric quality improvement and workforce development. She completed her adult psychiatry residency training at Columbia University/New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where she also served as Chief Resident before going on to complete Columbia’s Public Psychiatry Fellowship. She now serves as Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine. Thus far her career spans early psychosis services, mental health inequities facing Black American populations and other minoritized groups as well as public-sector system transformation.
