Recognition, Appreciation and Approval We all need and want these. Everyone needs to be recognized for existing, for being here, for being a part. Everyone needs appreciation for who they are, their talents, their activity in work, home and family. And everyone needs approval for all that they do, that positive affirmation for contributing. These are basic elements needed to build self-esteem and develop relationships. Without them people become isolated, trapped in a vortex of doubt and self-loathing. That is why God demands we develop relationships as a family, serve together as soldiers, support one another as Citizens, and mature together as Saints.
