Claire returns to her childhood home after her mother's death and uncovers unsettling family secrets.

Welcome to the penultimate episode of S24 of The Dark Paranormal. After the death of her mother, our listener Claire returns alone to the Derbyshire home she grew up in to begin clearing out decades of belongings. In a spare-room wardrobe, she discovers a hidden box containing old letters and a face-down photograph. The letters suggest Claire’s mother had once been involved in some kind of secret arrangement, and maybe something that she helped end. As the house grows darker, the atmosphere shifts, things appear to move, and that night Claire has everything she holds true challenged, leaving her with the disturbing possibility that her mother had spent years managing or containing something she never told her children about.
