About this episode

Scott Mitchell and Pete discuss the controversial topic of Hell, exploring the biblical perspectives on eternal torment versus annihilation.

Scott Mitchell from Bible Mysteries podcast and Pete conclude their conversation (began in EP 172) on the very controversial topic of Hell- is it eternal conscious torment forever and ever, or do people in Hell at some point cease to exist and their suffering comes to an end? A case can be made biblically for both viewpoints, however, only one position is consistent with the Bible's clear teaching and how it defines words like "death" and "destruction". Death is separation, not annihilation.
