DLHS Hour 1 | Critics notice glaring omissions in Michael Jackson biopic
About this episode
The episode discusses the criticisms surrounding the omissions in the Michael Jackson biopic, including key figures and the handling of abuse allegations.
Critics are calling out major omissions in Michael , the new Michael Jackson biopic, noting the absence of key figures like Diana Ross and The Wiz , as well as any meaningful treatment of the abuse allegations that shaped the final decades of Jackson’s life. Multiple outlets report those exclusions stem from legal constraints tied to past settlements, with the Jackson estate allegedly spending roughly $15 million on reshoots to comply, fueling debate over whether the film is a tribute or a sanitized narrative.
