We are still drifting along in this “short-term pain for long-term gain” narrative arc. Remember when they told us it would just be a few days, maybe a few weeks? Well, we’re cruising past month five now, and the script is getting so loud it’s a miracle anyone is still falling for it. Just look at the timing. Donald Trump goes on television declaring that the US is officially taking over the Strait of Hormuz – crowning himself the “guardian of the strait.” Literally minutes later, breaking footage drops of the bulk carrier Lonnie splitting in two and sinking after a sudden hull fracture. You can't make this stuff up; it plays out like pure, unadulterated 3D video game programming. Immediately, right on cue, the media echo chamber lights up. Mainstream narrative enforcers start blasting out posts about how Trump has supposedly “unleashed the full might of the US military on Iran,” claiming a complete naval blockade and massive airstrikes.
