The Sharks collected another vital two competition points, but their 20–18 victory over the Newcastle Knights was much harder than it needed to be. With Franko stranded down the coast by some highly questionable internet, 2.0 returns to the co-host seat alongside Boldo to unpack a frustrating and occasionally chaotic night at Ocean Protect Stadium. But the biggest surprise of the night comes when Australian Wrestling Superstars wrestler Bronson King unexpectedly joins the panel, leaving Boldo genuinely shocked. Once Boldo recovers from the ambush, the panel breaks down Cronulla’s handling errors, their reluctance to catch a bouncing football, the late scare against the Knights and the defensive efforts that ultimately helped save the result. There is also plenty of praise for Nicho Hynes’ improving goal-kicking and crucial cover defence, Billy Burns’ relentless work, Will Kennedy’s dependable performance and the contribution of Cronulla’s replacement forwards.
