About this episode

The episode celebrates 200 episodes of the Fresh Fiction Podcast, reflecting on the community built around book discussions and recommendations.

Two hundred episodes. When Sara Reyes started FreshFiction.com in 2004, she was building something simple: a place where readers could find their next great book. What she was actually building — though she might not have known it then — was a community. One hundred and fifty-four episodes of the Fresh Fiction Video Book Club later, that community shows up every single week. They show up to talk about the books they loved, the ones they couldn’t finish, the audiobooks they’ve been playing at 2x speed just to get through, and the ones that made them cry on a morning run. They talk about ghost dogs and spy novelists and Regency romances and Civil War horses. They recommend books to each other across every genre — and they come back, week after week, because that’s what happens when readers find their people. Here’s to two hundred more. And to every book that made the list along the way. Happy reading. — Sara & the Fresh Fiction team
