About this episode

Ciara Mageean shares her journey living with stage four bowel cancer and reflects on her life and future.

At the All-Ireland hurling final, Ciara Mageean was the guest of the BBC and the GAA. The European champion, addressed the crowd at half-time to a huge applause. Ciara is one of us. Portaferry and camogie to her core. It just turns out, Ciara was an outstanding athlete destined for the top of athletics. As Limerick celebrated a famous All-Ireland win, the voice of Dolores O'Riordan and the cranberries echoed throughout Croke Park. Ciara had a moment. How many of these special days are left? It's a question without an answer. Ciara has stage four bowel cancer. Surgery and Radiotherapy isn't an option, for now its Chemo. It's a devastating blow, but there will always be a flicker of hope. Positivity glows from this special woman. The people of Ireland and beyond love this girl- many have never even met her. Why is that? This is her cancer story, the good and the bad. Ciara is getting married in October to Thomas (Tommy) or is it Tommy (Thomas)? It's honest and we've an update on her current health condition. Ciara Mageean- one of the most special people we've ever had on the GAA Social. A gem
