“Today’s guest is Henry Yoshida , CEO and Co-founder of Rocket Dollar , a platform that allows people to invest their tax-advantaged retirement funds into private and alternative investments —well beyond the traditional stock-and-bond model. Henry has spent over 25 years in financial services , particularly in the IRA and retirement investing space . Before Rocket Dollar, he founded Honest Dollar , a venture-backed retirement platform that was acquired by Goldman Sachs , and MY Group LLC , which was later acquired by Captrust . Earlier in his career, he also spent a decade at Merrill Lynch . He’s a Certified Financial Planner , has brought multiple innovative financial products to market, and has built—and successfully exited—multiple fintech companies. Henry is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin , holds an MBA from Cornell University , lives in Austin , and is the father of two daughters .
