Today's guest is Mark, a Marine Corps veteran, mental health advocate, and podcast host who has dedicated his life to breaking the stigma surrounding PTSD and mental health. After serving in the military, Mark faced years of silent struggles with PTSD, anxiety, nightmares, paranoia, excessive drinking, and suicidal thoughts. Like many veterans, he found it difficult to transition back into civilian life and carried emotional wounds that remained hidden from those around him. Everything changed when a coworker introduced him to information about PTSD, helping him recognize the symptoms he had been battling for years. Seeking help through the VA became a turning point that ultimately transformed his life. Today, Mark uses his experiences to help others by sharing real conversations about mental health, trauma, recovery, and resilience. In November 2023, he launched his own podcast to provide a platform where people can openly discuss their struggles and find hope through shared experiences.
