Theology for Real Life // Facing the Canon with Lucy Peppiatt
About this episode
J.John interviews theologian Lucy Peppiatt about her experiences and insights on ministry training and women's roles in scripture.
This week, J.John is joined by Lucy Peppiatt, theologian and President of Westminster Theological Centre, which equips people for ministry through accessible, part-time theological training. She is also the author of Rediscovering Scripture’s Vision for Women and teaches The Discipleship Course, both reflecting her commitment to thoughtful and accessible theological formation. Having spent time in Zimbabwe, Lucy shares some of the experiences that have shaped her journey, including a striking story involving prayer, provision, and a simple lettuce. In this conversation, she reflects on her role at Westminster Theological Centre, the vision behind its approach to training, and the importance of forming and supporting those preparing for ministry today.
