About this episode

John discusses the chaos surrounding the White House Correspondents Dinner and the media response to an assassination attempt on Donald Trump.

John discusses Cole Thomas Allen who was arrested and charged following an apparent attempt on Donald Trump’s life at the White House Correspondents Dinner. The incident occurred one floor up and quite some distance from the event proper, but created a blanket of chaos and foggy reporting that settled over and ultimately cancelled the event. An almost too resilient Pres. Trump made a statement following the event demanding an immediate effort to fund and finish his White House Ballroom. Then, he welcomes back Professor Corey Brettschneider to talk about the media frenzy around the poorly planned assassination attempt and the lawsuit against the Southern Poverty Law center. Then, winding it up, comedian Rhonda Hansome joins the crew and they take calls from listeners.
