Trad Wars with Fr. Nix: SSPX vs FSSP vs Sede vs Interregmunist
About this episode
Father David Nix joins John-Henry Westen to discuss the divisions within the traditional Catholic community regarding papal authority and the Second Vatican Council.
The traditional Catholic world is divided. The SSPX. The FSSP. The sedevacantists. The interregnum proponents. Each group agrees on the essentials of the faith, but disagrees on a small but significant number of questions concerning papal authority and the Second Vatican Council. Father David Nix joins John-Henry Westen to explain each position fairly and urge traditional Catholics to resist the bitter infighting that has become all too common. The divisions are real. The disagreements are serious. But Fr. Nix argues that the shared belief in the faith, morals, and traditional liturgy far outweighs the differences. Charity must accompany theological debate. Pursuing truth does not require treating one another as enemies.
