She's a longtime a progressive political strategist and fundraiser who has advised over 250 candidates for federal and state office. For six years she led Brand New Congress, and was part of the team that helped launch Justice Democrats and elect progressive members of Congress like AOC, Cori Bush, and Jamaal Bowman. Medea Benjamin is a cofounder of both CODEPINK and the international human rights organization Global Exchange.
