Sci-fi July: An Infinity of Titles keeps on rolling with 1986's STAR SLAMMER aka PRISON SHIP aka STAR SLAMMER: PRISON SHIP aka THE ADVENTURES OF TAURA: PRISON SHIP STAR SLAMMER. Directed Fred Olen Ray, STAR SLAMMER (aka PRISON SHIP aka... you get it) blends comedy with sword and sandal movies, women in prison movies, sci-fi movies and girls just want to have fun movies into a taught hour and 26 minutes. STAR SLAMMER stars Sandy Brook (They Call Me Bruce?) as Taura who is wrongly confined to a prison ship aka STAR SLAMMER (not again). In reality, STAR SLAMMER is little more than a prison-style all-inclusive resort where instead of sitting by the pool, you get pushed around by intimidating staff. You get free food, alcohol, impromptu dance clubs and, the most coveted of experiences, solitary confinement. We get deep in this episode.
