In this episode, I break down the Lindsey Clancy case as the jury weighs whether she was criminally responsible for the deaths of her three children. I look at the arguments surrounding postpartum psychosis, prescription medications, alleged planning before the killings, and the prosecution’s evidence, while explaining why this case requires looking at the facts instead of blindly choosing a side. I also react to Stephen A. Smith firing back at critics who attack him publicly but refuse his invitations to sit down and have a real conversation. Then I sit down with John Hewett, a witness who was at Horn Island on July 4, for new details in the Nolan Wells case. Hewett describes seeing one of the boats leave the island, encountering several of the young men later in the channel without Nolan, and speaking directly with Nolan’s mother shortly after he disappeared. He also describes the conditions at Horn Island that day, what he witnessed around the group, and why he believes the racial narrative that later surrounded Nolan’s death does not reflect the community he knows.
