About this episode

Sam Coffey discusses her transition to Manchester City and her experiences as a midfielder.

The 27-year-old joined the Club in January 2026 from Portland Thorns, where she’d forged a reputation as one of the finest midfielders in world football. She’s since enjoyed an excellent start to life at City, with Sam discussing those initial months in Manchester and her standout display in a 3-0 win at Old Trafford back in March. Speaking with hosts George Kelsey and Sam Cox, our midfielder also provides an insight into some of the players she admires in her position and how her experience in the college game has benefited her to this day. There’s also some chat about irrational fears, and how a prank pulled by her brother as a child sealed hers for life! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
