About this episode

Kon Knueppel and Christian Yelich discuss the differences and similarities between becoming an NBA and MLB player.

We welcome Kon Knueppel of the Charlotte Hornets & Christian Yelich of the Milwaukee Brewers on this week’s episode of ‘The Young Man and the Three’! In this episode, they discuss the intricacies, similarities, and differences of becoming an NBA and MLB player, and what they think it takes to be a great pro — which was really interesting to hear given the dynamics of Kon just finishing his rookie season and Yelich being an MLB veteran.  Kon discussed his background growing up in the Milwaukee area and Wisconsin as a basketball state, going to Duke, a new approach he took over the last year, and his thoughts on his impressive rookie season on the Hornets. Christian also discussed his background making it to the majors, his career on the Brewers, what he changed during his MVP season, his thoughts on the new MLB rules (pitch clock & ABS), Shohei Ohtani, getting thrown out of games, and much more.
