The NL East is slipping away from the Phillies
About this episode
The episode discusses the Phillies' struggles against the Braves and their chances in the NL East.
The Phillies had high hopes to beat up the Braves this weekend and make a move in the NL East. Instead, it looks like the Phillies will have to settle on the NL Wild Card. The Phils lost two of their first three in a four-game series against the Braves at Citizens Bank Park, with the series finale on Monday afternoon. But a five-game deficit with 19 games to play is going to be difficult to overcome. Why? Well, if the Braves go just 9-10 the rest of the way, the Phillies would need to go 15-4 to win the division. What went wrong on Monday? Alex McFarlane served up a three-run homer to Ronald Acuña Jr. We talk about McFarlane, the bullpen, the division and much more. It’s “Best Week” by Manco & Manco Pizza !
