About this episode

Richie Allen discusses the migrant crisis and modern policing with Royal Navy veteran Robert Sole.

After rounding up the day's top stories, Richie is joined by Royal Navy veteran and ex-policeman Robert Sole. Rob spent nine years in the navy before joining the Metropolitan Police. In a remarkable 25-year career, Rob served on the flying squad, and what is now the National Crime Agency. He also worked undercover infiltrating organised crime gangs. On today's show, Rob tells Richie why he believes that there is no political solution to the migrant crisis, why stopping the boats before they reach the UK is actually feasible and how he feels about policing in modern-day Britain.
