St. Augustine & Living in the City of God | Scott Hahn w/ Rob Corzine
About this episode
Dr. Scott Hahn and Rob Corzine discuss St. Augustine’s The City of God and its implications for Catholicism and civic engagement.
In this episode of The Road to Emmaus, Dr. Scott Hahn is joined by Rob Corzine, the Vice President of Academic Programs at the St. Paul Center. Together they discuss St. Augustine’s masterwork, The City of God, showing it to be more than a juxtaposition between the Church and the secular state. At its core, it is a brilliant work of biblical theology. Through their discussion, you will learn how the virtue of religion upholds all of society, what true Catholic patriotism looks like, and why Catholics should be involved in local politics. As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States’ founding and the 1600th anniversary of Augustine’s City of God, discover how Augustine’s insights can make you both a better Catholic and a better citizen. ✨ Get the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible for FREE ➡️ https://stpaulcenter.com/memberships ___ Other ways to grow with the St. Paul Center: ⛪️ If you're a Priest looking to attend one of our annual Priest Conferences: https://stpaulcenter.co/priestconferences 📖 Start a Bible study with the St. Paul Center: https://stpaulcenter.co/biblestudies ✈️ Go on a pilgrimage with us: https://stpaulcenter.co/pilgrimages 🛒 Browse our bookstore…
