Most Bible studies on Rahab in the Bible focus on the red cord in the window. That image matters. But before Rahab ties the scarlet cord, she gives one of the clearest confessions of faith in the entire book of Joshua: “The LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and on earth beneath.” The whole city of Jericho heard the same reports: the Red Sea, the defeat of Sihon and Og, and Israel’s God on the move.
