About this episode

Pastor Andrew Coleman discusses how to find freedom from anxiety through humility and trust in God's care as outlined in 1 Peter 5:6-7.

As Peter brings his letter to a close, he reminds suffering believers how to persevere faithfully in a broken world. Throughout 1 Peter, Christians are encouraged to take heart in the hope found in Jesus Christ—His suffering, death, and resurrection guarantee that God’s promises will be fulfilled both now and forever. In these final verses, Peter gives simple but powerful instructions for daily life: humble yourself under God’s mighty hand and cast all your anxieties on Him.True humility places us under God’s authority, trusting that He will lift us up in His perfect time. And true peace comes when we stop carrying our burdens alone and place every worry—big or small—into God’s caring hands. This passage reminds us that the Christian life is not about suppressing anxiety, but relocating it to the One who truly cares for us. When truth fills the mind, hope begins to fill the heart. In a world full of trouble, God calls His people to humility, trust, and confident hope in His faithful care.________________________________________Links to Sermon Notes & Answers:➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_a2995142c32248208dd891f42a0a6594.pdf➤Sermon…
