A poor miller’s daughter is forced by a greedy king to spin straw into gold; a mysterious little man appears and does the work in exchange for her jewelry and, later, a promise of her first child.When the queen tries to keep her baby, the little man gives her three days to guess his name. A faithful servant overhears his song in the woods, reveals the name, and the queen saves her child, living happily ever after.
