About this episode
Pastor Chris encourages listeners to break free from a victim mentality and take responsibility for their spiritual journey.
Pastor Chris challenges us to break out of the "enclosures" we’ve built for ourselves, using the powerful story of a captive tiger that kept pacing in small circles even after it was released into the wild,. He argues that a "victim mentality" is the most dangerous trap for a Christian because it causes us to reject responsibility and surrender the authority God has given us. By looking at the lame man at the pool of Bethesda, he encourages us to stop making excuses for our past pain and start changing our agreement with what the enemy says about our future. It’s time to put on your spiritual "uniform" and take the steps of faith that seem impossible in your own strength. "If your past pain has become your present identity and your future excuse, you probably have a victim mentality".
