About this episode

Ky Dickens interviews astrologer Chani Nicholas about the deeper aspects of astrology beyond sun signs and horoscopes.

Astrology is often reduced to sun signs and daily horoscopes, but its history and practice go far deeper. In this episode, Ky sits down with New York Times bestselling author and astrologer Chani Nicholas for a wide-ranging exploration of what astrology actually is, where it comes from, and how it has been used across centuries. Chani breaks down the basics of a birth chart, rising signs, houses, planets, and timing techniques, while tracing astrology back to ancient systems of observing patterns between the sky and life on Earth. Together they explore fate versus free will, astrology as a tool for self-understanding and purpose, and the idea that the movements of the cosmos may reflect patterns unfolding within a larger, interconnected reality. Chani explains the major astrological shifts happening now and what previous cycles might suggest about the moment we’re living through. Whether you’re deeply versed in astrology or have never looked beyond your sun sign, this conversation offers a fascinating introduction to the history, philosophy, and practice behind one of humanity’s oldest systems for making meaning of the sky. _______ Explore Chani's book, You Were Born for This…
