In Episode 10 of The Truth Simply Put with PAV, Alexander Victor opens one of the most powerful realities in the Gospel: the Gospel is not only the story of what happened to Jesus; it is the story of what happened to everyone who is joined to Him. The believer does not merely admire the death, burial, and resurrection of CHRiSt from a distance. Through faith, the believer is brought into union with CHRiSt Himself. This teaching shows that the Gospel is far more than the announcement that CHRiSt died for us. It is also the revelation that we died with Him, were buried with Him, were raised with Him, and now live because He lives in us. That is why the believer’s identity cannot be explained merely in moral, religious, or sentimental terms. The believer is now in CHRiSt, with CHRiSt, and through CHRiSt. PAV unfolds from Scripture that Jesus did not die merely as an example of love or sacrifice, though His death certainly reveals both. He died as our representative. He took our place, brought the old man to judgment in His death, and made resurrection life the possession of everyone who believes.
