In this episode of The Winston Marshall Show, I sit down with Canadian comedian Ben Bankas for a sharp and chaotic conversation on free speech, cancel culture, comedy, and why Canada’s political culture has become increasingly authoritarian. We discuss Ben’s rise through the Canadian comedy scene, from performing illegal park shows during COVID to selling out clubs across North America, despite attempts by woke comics and activists to shut him down. Bankas explains why offensive comedy still works, why audiences are tired of censorship, and why so much modern comedy has become sterile, political, and afraid of its own shadow....-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Our show is independently supported by you, consider signing up to our substack to get added benefits like ad-free and extended episodes here: https://www.winstonmarshall.co.uk/
