The mob injured at least 25 people, including the pastor’s pregnant wife. Such attacks are becoming more common in the country’s state of Chhattisgarh. The state’s government passed a law criminalizing conversion in March. It is India’s second most oppressive state for Christians. Open Doors ranks the whole country as the 12th most oppressive in the world for Christians. 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck Philippines A 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of the southern part of the Philippines on Monday. The quake killed at least 37 people, injured nearly 500, and displaced over 32,000. Christians in the area are jumping into action.
