About this episode

The episode discusses the importance of diligence over idleness in living a life that honors God.

Idleness is self-focus - seeking to please and serve ourselves. We are called to be diligent and to live quiet, simple lives that glorify and honor God. We are not to be busybodies in our actions or our words, for that is a sign of idleness. Instead, we are to work diligently where God has placed us. We do this so that we represent Christ well to the unbelievers around us and so that others do not have to carry our burdens or pick up our slack. We need to work faithfully and diligently where God has called us, without worrying about what everyone else is doing - or not doing. ________________________ When this is the day you have a lot on your plate and you're so tempted to check out - to put it off, to get a little "me time" instead of taking on the task at hand, to grumble and complain about all you have to do - pray. Yeah, that's always what we say: pray, pray, and pray again. Pray that God would change your heart, that He would give you a joyful attitude as you work diligently with your hands. ________________________ Resources: Visit our shop for super one-of-a-kind designs that promote gospel centered conversations.
