This episode explores the theme of redemption in the book of Ruth and its significance in the lineage of Jesus Christ.

God’s arc of redemption runs through the book of Ruth and the line of Judah. While God’s people were rebelling in the days of the Judges, God preserved the line of Messiah through Ruth the Moabite and the kinsman redeemer, Boaz, who redeemed Naomi and Ruth, and who fathered Obed, who was the grandfather of King David.
