About this episode

The episode discusses kindness, religion, and politics while featuring interviews with authors and updates on writing events.

Happy Easter, everyone, or as the kids call it: Happy Zombie Jesus Day (no offense intended). "The CC & JT Amateur Hour" is a podcast "to help writers write." Today, we go off of that beaten track for the most part to talk religion and politics. I suppose this is a vent session that was stimulated by the kindness paid to us from Jack in the Box (explained in the podcast), as well as seeing hundreds of kids do an Easter Egg hunt in south Carson City. They and their families were having the best fun, and we saw first hand the strength of kindness and love that Jesus hoped He was sending to us during his time on Earth. Unfortunately, we know better, especially in the era of when cruelty is considered strength. Spoiler: it ain't. We propose that the highest form of social evolution is unconditionally loving your neighbors and ourselves as Jesus intended. We support our argument. Back to the writing thing: we had fantastic interviews this week with Ashley Hanna-Morgan and Dr. Dan Morgan (no relation). Both of these authors are smart and articulate and worth your time. Jeff Brunings came on to talk about Truckee Literary Crawl happening on April 10 and 11. Check…
