About this episode

DL Hughley critiques Stephen A. Smith's reactions to media criticism regarding his treatment of Black women and discusses broader issues of race and justice.

Stephen A. Smith is furious after the NABJ called out what it says is his recurring pattern of disparaging prominent Black women. But DL has a question: Where was all this smoke when Donald Trump came for YOU? And Stephen A. running to Sean Hannity to complain about Black journalists? Oh, DL has something to say about THAT. From Serena Williams, Kamala Harris, Jasmine Crockett and Joy Reid to his battles with Black athletes and HBCU supporters, DL looks at the pattern behind the controversy—and asks whether Stephen A. has confused being loud with being right. Then somehow Candace Owens starts making sense while battling Andrew Wilson over the Charlie Kirk case. Yes. We know. Hell may need a coat. And finally, the laughs stop. After 29-year-old Tasia Fortune was found hanging outside an abandoned house in Mississippi, DL asks why Black Americans are repeatedly told not to jump to conclusions when history gives them every reason to demand answers. Authorities had not classified Fortune's death as suspicious at the time of the rundown, and an autopsy was pending. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
