About this episode

Elliot Bennet shares wild stories from his soccer career, including chaos at Brighton and Norwich.

Up in the hot seat this week is Elliot Bennet, older brother of Kyle Bennet. Browny kicks things off by calling Elliot the calm, sensible one—but after two hours, that claim starts to feel… questionable. Breaking through at Wolves, Bennet initially lived in his brother’s shadow. But Mick McCarthy had other ideas, shipping him out to Brighton under Gus Poyet, where a coaching staff full of mavericks set the tone early. And things only got wilder from there. With Charlie Oatway sparking fights during pre-season at Brighton, you might expect a move to Premier League Norwich to bring some calm. Instead? Think stink bombs in the dressing room, teammates’ wives setting off fireworks, and the chaos of “supercar Fridays.” Safe to say—it wasn’t exactly a quiet step up.
