The blast was so powerful that it registered on seismic stations across Eurasia, and the atmospheric pressure wave circled the globe twice. Witnesses up to 40 miles away reported seeing a bluish streak across the sky, followed by a flash brighter than the sun. The sound was heard 620 miles away.
