"Zorro Ranch was probably the most eerie place, just giant and quiet and literally in the middle of nowhere. Miles and miles of just mountains and dirt." On the morning of 8 March 2026, a group of people gathered at a gate on a dirt road in the New Mexico desert, about 30 miles south of Santa Fe, in a place called Stanley. The gate leads to an extravagant property that sits on roughly 7600 acres of high desert scrubland. The nearest town is twenty miles away. If you screamed out here, no one would hear it. The property used to be called Zorro Ranch. It belongs to a Texas family now, who bought it in 2023 and renamed it San Rafael Ranch.
