Venice has always lived with water. But after the catastrophic flood of 1966, that uneasy coexistence increasingly came to be governed through large-scale technological control. Through the controversial history of the MOSE barriers, the episode explores how infrastructures reorganize socio-natural relations and transform the political struggle over who gets to govern the lagoon.
