The episode critiques Christopher Nolan's film adaptation of the Odyssey, discussing its deconstruction of classic themes and characters.
Dr. Greg Johnson joins Kevin DeAnna and Paul Kersey to discuss Christoper Nolan's Odyssey. Mr. DeAnna and Dr. Johnson refuse to see it; Mr. Kersey saw it but at least didn't pay for it. It's as bad as they say. The film is a deliberate deconstruction, an insult, and worst of all, just not very good. Homer is the white man's original holy book, so it's not surprising to see it targeted for demolition, with the characters made into post-Christian, guilt-ridden victims rather than heroes. The film will be a major test of whether the System can simply force popularity from the top down, or whether people have the will to turn away.
