God's priority is transformation, not immediate relief from our struggles. The Israelites experienced miraculous victories at Jericho through obedience, but when disobedience entered through Achan's sin, miracles became rare and struggles increased. God allowed these difficulties not as punishment, but as tests to see if His people would choose obedience and heart transformation. Jesus exemplified perfect obedience even through suffering, and His obedience becomes our righteousness. Rather than seeking quick fixes or someone to blame for our struggles, we should ask how God wants to transform our character through these circumstances.
