About this episode

The episode features a live recording discussing the film King Ralph, including humorous critiques and insights.

Recorded Live in Oxford, England, 20 July, 2025 “He gets the crown put on his head, the Hobbits are there, it’s an amazing time” - Eric on Ralph’s Coronation On our first Summer Live episode of the season, we’re releasing our outrageous show from closing night of last year’s residency at the Oxford Comedy Festival! This show was an incredible end to a super-fun run of six shows we had at the festival and wowza, King Ralph is certainly something, isn’t it? Is this moment-of-death photograph that starts the film technically a snuff pic? Aren’t they asking way too much of this bumbling buffoon for only being King a couple weeks? How much cash did Burger King sink into this cinematic misadventure? And is there a single scene here with a sober Peter O’Toole? PLUS: One of King Ralph’s first decrees: invade Jug Nation! King Ralph stars John Goodman, John Hurt, Camille Coduri, Richard Griffiths, Leslie Phillips, James Villiers, Joely Richardson, Julian Glover, Rudolph Walker, and Peter O’Toole as Sir Cedric Willingham; directed by David S. Ward. This episode is brought to you by Storyblocks! Head to STORYBLOCKS DOT COM SLASH WHM ot access the human-made stock media library that’s…
