In this special summer series, Pastor Sam Rainer walks through six eras of American history and explains the church’s impact in each era. Between 1877 and 1945, America became wealthier, more advanced, and more influential. But none of that power could solve the deepest human problem. Industry could not remove sin. Education could not regenerate the heart. The government could not redeem people. And military might could not make humanity righteous. Only the gospel has that kind of power.
