About this episode

Jessie discusses the emotional toll of taking on the responsibility of loved ones' struggles and how to foster healthier connections.

Jessie has heard from many clients about the suffering they experience when it comes to dynamics with family members or loved ones that are having a hard time in life albeit from depression, addiction, or just plain suffering that results in behaviors that look scary. Coming from experience herself, Jessie has seen what we do as well-intentioned humans in taking on the responsibility of holding these loved ones up and what that does to us as the carer and the dynamics of the relationship. Tune in for her reflections on how to release our grip on our beliefs around our “responsibilities” and how that results in deeper but more independent connection. Enjoy!
