After recovering the first two, The Doctor and Romana are looking for the third piece of The Key To Time. While on modern day earth, they meet archaeologist Amelia Rumford and her friend, Vivien Fay, who are studying an ancient stone circle. This leads to The Doctor nearly being sacrificed to the giant bird goddess, Cailleach.
