For nearly three decades, the National Women’s History Museum has worked to illuminate the women who helped build the United States — leaders, innovators, activists, and visionaries whose contributions continue to shape our future. The organization also played a key role in advocating for the creation of the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum , authorized by Congress in 2020. Joining Shelley Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro is Frédérique Irwin , President and CEO of the National Women’s History Museum.
