Rufus Edmisten discusses the life and legacy of Paul Dombalis, the former owner of Raleigh’s oldest restaurant, The Mecca.
The former owner of Raleigh’s oldest restaurant, The Mecca, has died. Paul Dombalis passed away last month at 68. Dombalis worked at the family restaurant for almost 50 years and led the business for 28 years before selling in 2018. Rufus Edmisten, former North Carolina Secretary of State, had his photo on the wall at the Mecca. Rufus joined Jeff Hamlin to discuss Paul Dombalis.
