The decision throws into doubt tens of billions of dollars in duties and has prompted business groups to push for refunds that could reach US$175 billion (S$222 billion). Trump has moved quickly to find new legal footing. He has signed an executive order invoking Section 122 of the 1974 Trade Act to impose a 10% global import tax for 150 days, and signaled plans to raise the rate to 15%.
