In our third look at “Peril at End House,” we turn to the Japanese anime “The Great Detectives Poirot and Marple.“ This version in three half-hour episodes, introduces children to Agatha Christie. We have Poirot and Hastings, but we also have Mabel West. She’s the daughter of playwright Raymond West, visits Miss Marple and wants to be a detective. She and her pet duck, Oliver, are introduced to Hercule Poirot, who is initially not interested in taking a girl (and her duck) as his protégé. But Mabel is determined. “Agatha Christie, They Watch” reviews the adaptations of Agatha Christie’s novels in their order of publication.
